Mayfield Lavender Farm Reopens for Summer 2026

Celebrating 20 Years of Purple Magic

Mayfield Lavender Farm, the stunning Surrey destination - just 15 miles from the capital - reopens on Saturday, 6th June, with a host of new experiences as well as perennial favourites.

Marking its 20th anniversary of opening to the public this year, Mayfield Lavender will feature activities inspired by the themes of renewal, regrowth and regeneration (the three Rs). Guests are invited to immerse themselves in the renowned, beautiful lavender blooms and landscape, and also become part of the farm’s legacy. A visit to the hands-on Potting Station (included in the ticket price) will teach visitors how to propagate lavender to grow in their gardens. The ‘Adopt-a-Plant’ programme offers the opportunity to support Mayfield’s ongoing regeneration by leaving a personal message or dedication beneath newly planted lavender at the site.

New for 2026 are flexible ‘Anyday Tickets’, which allow visitors to attend on a day of their choice without being tied to a specific date. Tickets will be available across three tiers: The Explorer, The Voyager and The Pathfinder. The entry-level package gives access to the farm’s 25 acres of lavender (with gorgeous photo opportunities), café, shop, Potting Station and museum, as well as RRR education and free lavender cuttings, with the higher tier tickets offering additional experiences and activities. Also new for this year are Purple Passes, which enable people to visit the farm five times for only £25.

Fresh for 2026 is a curated selection of street food traders that will be on site throughout the season. The much-loved photography competition, ‘Moments at Mayfield’, returns after a short hiatus, with prizes for:

Best Dressed - creators/photographers/influencers

Best Family Photo - families visiting

Best Pet – open to dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles and even horses (by prior arrangement)

Looby Loo, the farm’s beloved tractor train, the iconic red telephone box, tractor, and heart-shaped bench all return alongside new attractions for 2026, such as The Lavender Labyrinth, where customers can enjoy a meditative space of calm and relaxation, enjoying being at one with nature. Other additional features include the Tree of Lavender Wishes, a Bee & Butterfly Exploration Trail, The Potting Station and The Spritz Cooler, a water feature where visitors can cool down on hot summer days.

The family-run farm in Banstead has spent over two decades reviving the area’s historic lavender-growing heritage. Each summer, from June to August, it bursts into a breathtaking panorama of purple, attracting tourists from across the UK and the world, alongside locals who return year after year to experience the calm, beauty, joy and fragrance of the site. As the first organic lavender farm accredited by the Soil Association, Mayfield has long championed sustainable farming and remains a thriving haven for wildlife.

“This season is particularly special for us as we celebrate 20 years of Mayfield Lavender. What began as a mission to make lavender relevant again has grown into something far greater, bringing both the plant and the area's historical lavender-growing heritage back to life,” said Lorna Maye, owner and farmer at Mayfield Lavender. “We look forward to welcoming back our regular visitors as well as new ones and inviting them all to become part of the ongoing legacy of this remarkable place.”
