Stick, the upcoming Apple TV Plus sports comedy series starring Wilson as a down-and-out former pro golfer, will debut on June 4, 2025. The show promises a fresh, emotional take on redemption, mentorship, and the unlikely bonds formed through the game of golf.
In Stick, Wilson stars as Pryce Cahill, a once-promising golf talent whose professional career ended in disappointment two decades ago. Now washed-up, divorced, and recently fired from his job at a small-town Indiana sporting goods store, Pryce stakes his last shot at purpose on Santi (Peter Dager), a gifted but volatile 17-year-old golf prodigy. As the two navigate the challenges of trust, competition, and their own personal demons, Stick evolves into a feel-good story about found family and second chances, set against the backdrop of a sport rarely portrayed with such heart and humor.
The ensemble cast includes comedy veteran Marc Maron, Overboard star Mariana Treviño, Your Honor's Lilli Kay, Judy Greer, and Timothy Olyphant. In a nod to its golfing roots, the series also features appearances by real-world PGA stars including Collin Morikawa, Keegan Bradley, Max Homa, Wyndham Clark, and others. Cameos from renowned broadcasters Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman add authenticity, alongside appearances from popular golf influencers like Matt Scharff, Brad Dalke, Garrett Clark, and golf journalist Dan Rapaport.
Described by Apple as “a heartfelt, feel-good sports comedy about a found family and their relationships, set within the world of golf as it has never been shown before,” Stick blends quirky humor with emotional resonance—aiming to attract both avid golf fans and general audiences alike.
Stick will be available exclusively on Apple TV+ starting June 4, with new episodes rolling out weekly.
