House of Guinness Interview: Galligan and Anthony Boyle
What is House of Guinness about?
House of Guinness tells the sweeping, character-driven story of one of Europe’s most renowned and influential dynasties – the Guinness family. Set against the contrasting backdrops of 19th-century Dublin and New York, the drama begins in the immediate aftermath of the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness, the visionary who transformed the family brewery into a global powerhouse.
His passing sets in motion a profound ripple effect, as the terms of his will shape not only the fortunes and futures of his four adult children — Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Ben — but also the lives of the wider Dublin community whose livelihoods and ambitions are tied to the ever-growing Guinness legacy. At its heart, the series is a rich tapestry of power, inheritance, ambition, and identity, exploring how one extraordinary family and the iconic enterprise they built influenced society far beyond the gates of St. James’s Gate Brewery.
Stream House of Guinness on Netflix from 25 September.
