Apple TV+ is venturing into the frozen wilds of Alaska with its newest thriller, The Last Frontier, premiering worldwide on Friday, October 10, 2025. The 10-episode series will debut with a two-part launch, followed by new episodes released weekly through December 5.
Created by Jon Bokenkamp (The Blacklist) and Richard D’Ovidio (The Call), the series stars and is executive produced by Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty). Clarke takes on the role of Frank Remnick, the only U.S. marshal responsible for maintaining order across Alaska’s harsh and isolated terrain.
Remnick’s steady world is shattered when a prison transport plane crashes in the unforgiving wilderness, unleashing dozens of dangerous inmates into his jurisdiction. As he races to protect his small community, Remnick begins to suspect that the crash was no accident—but rather the opening move in a larger, more sinister plot that threatens everything he’s sworn to protect.
The ensemble cast brings together an impressive lineup, including Dominic Cooper (The Gold), Haley Bennett (The Magnificent Seven), Simone Kessell (Yellowjackets), Dallas Goldtooth (Reservation Dogs), and Tait Blum (For All Mankind). Legendary actor Alfre Woodard (Clemency), an Academy Award nominee and multiple Emmy winner, also joins the series.
Produced by Apple Studios, The Last Frontier boasts a powerhouse team behind the camera. Executive producers include Bokenkamp, D’Ovidio, and Clarke, alongside Laura Benson (The Big C), Glenn Kessler (Bloodline), Albert Kim (Nikita), and director Sam Hargrave (Extraction).
With its stark Alaskan backdrop, high-stakes tension, and layered mystery, The Last Frontier promises to be one of Apple TV+’s most intense and cinematic thrillers yet.
