'The Buccaneers' season 2 trailer featuring Chappell Roan
Today, Apple TV+ released the official trailer for the highly anticipated second season of its critically acclaimed drama The Buccaneers. The new eight-episode season will premiere globally on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, kicking off with one episode, followed by weekly releases every Wednesday through August 6, 2025.
The trailer teases the next chapter in the lives of the spirited young American women — featuring strong bonds of friendship, romance, sharp humor, passionate entanglements, lavish fashion, breathtaking scenery, and dramatic twists. Season two sees the return of the core cast, including Kristine Frøseth, Alisha Boe, Aubri Ibrag, Josie Totah, Imogen Waterhouse, Mia Threapleton, Emmy nominee Christina Hendricks, Guy Remmers, Matthew Broome, Josh Dylan, Barney Fishwick, Amelia Bullmore, and Fenella Woolgar. New additions to the ensemble include Leighton Meester, Greg Wise, Jacob Ifan, Grace Ambrose, and Maria Almeida.
The trailer also features Chappell Roan’s hit song "Good Luck Babe!", accompanying a heartfelt scene. The soundtrack continues to shine in season two with tracks from artists like Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter, Gracie Abrams, Clairo, Sharon Van Etten, St. Vincent, Bleachers, and The Last Dinner Party. Returning executive music producer Stella Mozgawa curates the original soundtrack, which includes the new Empress Of single "Little Secret" (out now) and fresh music from Suki Waterhouse, Madi Diaz, Holly Humberstone, Kacy Hill, Jade Bird, Emily Kokal (of Warpaint), and more.
Season one introduced viewers to a lively group of American girls who shook up the rigid social order of 1870s London, sparking a culture clash that lit up the city. Now, in season two, the Buccaneers have found their place in England — and are making waves of their own. Nan, now the Duchess of Tintagel, holds unprecedented power. Conchita is Lady Brightlingsea and a role model for a new generation of American heiresses. Jinny, meanwhile, is making headlines, accused of kidnapping her unborn child. As each woman confronts adulthood, they must navigate love, loss, jealousy, and ambition — timeless struggles that resonate across generations. If season one offered a taste of England, season two serves up a full-course feast.
Created and written by Katherine Jakeways, season two is helmed by a powerhouse team of directors: BAFTA Award winner William McGregor, DGA Award winner Rachel Leiterman, John Hardwick, and Charlie Manton. Jakeways also serves as executive producer alongside Emmy winner Beth Willis and BAFTA winner Susanna White. The series is produced by The Forge Entertainment, part of Banijay UK, for Apple TV+.
The full first season of The Buccaneers is available to stream now on Apple TV+.
