Global superstar Taylor Swift will make a special guest appearance on the Hits Radio Breakfast Show with Fleur East, Will Best and James Barr this Friday morning, just after 8am. The visit comes as part of her UK promotional tour for her highly anticipated twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.
The US singer-songwriter has flown into the UK to launch the record and will also be seen on Friday night’s edition of The Graham Norton Show, where she will sit down for a chat about her latest work. Both appearances form part of a busy schedule as Swift reconnects with fans and media to celebrate the new release.
The Life of a Showgirl marks a fresh chapter in Swift’s career, once again teaming her up with renowned producers Max Martin and Shellback. The album consists of twelve tracks, including its lead single The Fate of Ophelia, which opens the record. Fellow pop star Sabrina Carpenter also makes an appearance, featuring on the title track.
The record was developed during the European leg of Swift’s Eras Tour in 2024 and promises a brighter, more energetic sound than her previous offering, The Tortured Poets Department. Swift has described the album as full of infectious melodies, paired with vivid and intentional lyrics, designed to capture the vibrancy of the stage persona reflected in its title.
Early signs suggest the release will be another major success for the star. The Life of a Showgirl has already broken records on Spotify, becoming the most pre-saved album in the platform’s history. To coincide with the launch, cinemas will host Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl from October 3 to 5, showcasing lyric videos, behind-the-scenes content and the premiere of the video for The Fate of Ophelia.
With appearances across radio and television this week, UK fans will have plenty of chances to hear directly from Swift as she ushers in the next stage of her career.
