Sam Ryder and Paloma Faith join huge new Channel 4 singing competition
New Channel 4 'Your Song' aims to repeat the success of the Piano and Bake Off - this time with a singing competition, featuring mentors Paloma Faith and Sam Ryder.
Channel 4 has announced that award-winning singer Paloma Faith and Eurovision star Sam Ryder will join as mentors on the new entertainment series from the creators of The Great British Bake Off and The Piano (Love Productions).
Your Song (wt) aims to shine a spotlight on the nation’s hidden musical talents, giving non-professional singers the chance to perform a song that holds deep personal significance. From heartfelt family ballads to uplifting anthems that helped people through tough times, these performances will take place on a pop-up stage backed by a live house band.
Paloma and Sam will remain unseen by the singers during their performances, before stepping forward to share their expertise and heartfelt reactions. Host Alison Hammond will also be on hand, bringing her signature warmth, humour, and ability to connect with each performer, encouraging them to share the stories behind their songs.
The Your Song stage will tour across the UK, visiting locations including London, Birmingham, Liverpool, and Edinburgh.

Sam Ryder adds: "I’m so stoked to be a mentor on Your Song! The show is all about celebrating grass roots talent across the country, and hearing their stories through music, which I can’t wait to encourage and uplift. I can’t wait to get out on the road and meet everyone!"
