Only Murders in the Building
Where to watch: Disney Plus
The Emmy® Award-nominated comedy-mystery Only Murders in the Building is back for its highly anticipated fifth season. The series — led by Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez — premieres Tuesday, September 9, launching with three brand-new episodes. Fans in the UK and internationally can stream the show on Disney+, while U.S. viewers will find it exclusively on Hulu.
This season begins with a tragedy close to home: the sudden and suspicious death of the Arconia’s longtime doorman, Lester. Charles, Oliver, and Mabel refuse to accept the explanation of an accident, launching a fresh investigation that takes them deeper into the hidden layers of New York City. What they uncover is a tangled network of secrets involving wealthy power brokers, old-school mob figures, and the enigmatic residents of their iconic building. As the trio dig further, they’re confronted with a stark contrast between the familiar city they thought they knew and the new, more dangerous New York emerging in its place.
Joining the core cast of Martin, Short, Gomez, and Michael Cyril Creighton are an impressive roster of guest stars. This season welcomes Meryl Streep, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Richard Kind, Nathan Lane, Bobby Cannavale, Renée Zellweger, Logan Lerman, Christoph Waltz, Téa Leoni, Keegan-Michael Key, Beanie Feldstein, Dianne Wiest, Jermaine Fowler, and more.
Only Murders in the Building was co-created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman (Grace & Frankie, Looking), who also serve as executive producers alongside Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Dan Fogelman (This Is Us), Jess Rosenthal, Ben Smith, and JJ Philbin. The series is produced by 20th Television, part of Disney Television Studios.
Disney+ continues to offer robust parental controls, allowing families to set maturity ratings, use PIN-protected profiles, and access Junior Mode to ensure a safe viewing environment for younger audiences.
