“Number One on the Call Sheet" trailer released by Apple TV Plus

Today, Apple TV+ unveiled the trailer for the highly anticipated two-part documentary film event Number One on the Call Sheet, set to premiere on Friday, March 28. Featuring unprecedented access and candid interviews, Number One on the Call Sheet offers an intimate look at some of Hollywood’s most iconic Black actors, both men and women, as they reflect on the joys and challenges of their careers. The documentary highlights pivotal moments, shares insights into the paths to success, honors legendary figures, and celebrates the potential of the next generation.
The two-part series, Number One on the Call Sheet, will premiere on March 28, 2025, on Apple TV+.
Emmy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated actress Angela Bassett shares, “‘Number One on the Call Sheet’ celebrates the resilience, strength, and brilliance of those who paved the way before us while uplifting the next generation. NAACP Image Award-winning director Shola Lynch, who helms Black Leading Women in Hollywood, adds, “It’s an honor to direct this story capturing a unique generation of Black actresses. Number One on the Call Sheet: Black Leading Men in Hollywood and Number One on the Call Sheet: Black Leading Women in Hollywood take an in-depth look at Hollywood’s biggest stars, revealing their journeys to groundbreaking leading roles. The films are produced for Apple TV+ by Jamie Foxx, Kevin Hart, Datari Turner, and Dan Cogan. Foxx produces through Foxxhole Productions with Turner, Hart through Hartbeat, and Cogan through Story Syndicate.
Directed by Hudlin, the executive producers for Number One on the Call Sheet: Black Leading Men in Hollywood include Hudlin, Byron Phillips, Diana E.
