Preview: Natalie Cassidy's new Channel 4 series is coming
'What's the Big Deal?: Britain's Best Buys' is Natalie Cassidy's brand new consumer show for Channel 4, starting Friday 4 April, 2025.
Channel 4 has confirmed details of the first episode in Natalie Cassidy’s new consumer series, What’s the Big Deal?: Britain’s Best Buys, debuting on Friday 4 April at 8pm.
In this brand new series, the former EastEnders star will be on a mission to test out a whole range of products used in the home, from Pizza Ovens to LED facemasks. Together with her team, she’ll be reviewing the products to see if they live up to the hype and are worth buying in the first place.
The new series launches with an episode in which Natalie tests one of the most popular products on the market in the last twelve months, ice baths. Do they do you any good or are they just a fad? Natalie will be donning a swim suit and taking a plunge before scientifically measuring if there’s any benefit to doing it or not.
She’ll also be eating some funky fungi, to see if lion’s mane mushrooms really do have any benefits or not. Certain supermarkets and suppliers would like to have you believe this is ‘brain food’, but is it? Or is it just another trend.
And finally in this opening episode, Natalie will undergo a high-tech facial scan. It’s all to test out the benefits of red light therapy, which sellers of LED face masks claim is good for you.
Natalie Cassidy said: “I am looking forward to getting to ask the questions we all want to know about must-have products. Like all of us, I love to try the latest things but as a busy mum what I really want to know is what lives up to the claims and what is the best deal?”
The four part series will feature experts and scientists, nutritionists and industry insiders.
