Sky announce season 2 of Danny Dyer's 'Mr Bigstuff'
A second series of Danny Dyer's original Sky TV comedy 'Mr Bigstuff' has been confirmed, and a raft of guest stars announced.
BAFTA nominee Danny Dyer (Rivals), Brassic favourite and series creator Ryan Sampson (Plebs), and Big Boys star Harriet Webb (I May Destroy You) are back for the second season of Mr Bigstuff, premiering this July on Sky and NOW. The first season, which earned Dyer his first-ever BAFTA TV nomination for his role as Lee Campbell, was a major hit—becoming Sky Max’s top-performing original comedy in three years.
Season two kicks off just two weeks after the shocking revelation that the brothers’ father isn’t actually dead. Lee and Glen (played by Sampson) are dealing with the news in very different ways—but with tensions rising and mysteries multiplying, the two join forces to track him down. Meanwhile, Kirsty is making waves both in the bedroom and at work—until a poorly timed kiss and a shadowy blackmailer threaten to derail everything. With secrets spilling and tempers running high, another explosive family fallout seems inevitable.
It’s not just the brothers stirring up trouble—first-look images reveal an exciting lineup of guest stars:
Rula Lenska as Rita: In episode two, Lenska—best known for Coronation Street and Celebrity Big Brother—brings comedy flair as Rita, a quirky and flirtatious woman who may have ties to the missing Don Campbell.
Linda Henry as Pam: Reuniting with Dyer, the EastEnders star plays Pam, a tough, take-no-prisoners mechanic at the family’s haulage company.
Shaun Williamson as an angry clown: The beloved EastEnders and Extras actor appears in episode five as a hot-headed children’s entertainer caught in yet another sibling clash.
Also joining the new season are Sampson’s Brassic co-stars Tom Hanson and Parth Thakerar, along with Shobna Gulati (Coronation Street), David Mumeni (Stath Lets Flats), and Alan Ford (Snatch). Returning favourites include Adrian Scarborough (Gavin & Stacey), Fatiha El-Ghorri (Taskmaster), Victoria Alcock (Bad Girls), Ned Dennehy (Peaky Blinders), and Clive Russell (Ripper Street).
Created and written by Ryan Sampson, Mr Bigstuff is executive produced by Sampson and Matt Lipsey, alongside Anil Gupta for Sky Studios and Tom Miller and Sam Myer for Water & Power Productions. Emily Allen serves as commissioning editor for Sky Studios, with Hayley Sterling producing.
Season two of Mr Bigstuff premieres this July on Sky and NOW.
