MONSTER: The Ed Gein Story trailer released by Netflix.
Netflix has today unveiled the first teaser trailer for its new true crime drama Monster, starring Charlie Hunnam.

“Ed Gein’s fairly obscure,” co-creator Ian Brennan tells Netflix Tudum. “It’s this man who lived in a farmhouse and didn’t know very many people, and you’re watching his descent into deep, deep madness and then ultimately into killing people. That seemed like a big ask for a show that has been quite popular. Is that too much to ask of a global audience?”
Following the huge success of DAHMER — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Netflix has commissioned two more installments of the record-breaking anthology series from Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan. The second season, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, premieres on Netflix on September 19 and explores the notorious case of the Menendez brothers, convicted in 1996 for the murders of their parents, José and Mary Louise “Kitty” Menendez. The series stars Javier Bardem as José Menendez, Chloë Sevigny as Mary Louise “Kitty” Menendez, Cooper Koch as Erik Menendez, and Nicholas Alexander Chavez as Lyle Menendez.
The original anthology, DAHMER — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, became a global phenomenon, accumulating 1 billion hours of viewing within its first 60 days—joining an elite group of just four series to reach this milestone. The show currently ranks as the third most popular English-language series on Netflix.
MONSTER: The Ed Gein Story will premiere on Netflix on October 3. We’ll keep you posted on the series, and other must watch entertainment - all you have to do is subscribe, for free, below.
