Jude Law and Andrew Garfield to star in Apple TV's 'Wild Things'
Apple TV+ has greenlit Wild Things, starring Jude Law and Andrew Garfield.
Apple TV+ has greenlit Wild Things, a new limited series starring BAFTA Award winner and Oscar nominee Jude Law (The Young Pope, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, upcoming Black Rabbit) and Tony Award winner and Oscar and Emmy nominee Andrew Garfield (Under the Banner of Heaven, Tick, Tick… Boom!, We Live in Time) as legendary performers Siegfried & Roy.
The eight-episode, hourlong drama will chronicle the extraordinary lives and partnership of the famed illusionists, known for their spectacular Las Vegas shows featuring white tigers. Created, written, and executive produced by six-time Emmy nominee John Hoffman (Only Murders in the Building), the series explores the dazzling highs and darker complexities of their relationship, culminating in the tragic incident that ended their act and sparked widespread speculation. Law will portray Siegfried, while Garfield takes on the role of Roy. Production is scheduled to begin this fall.
Matt Shakman (WandaVision, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, upcoming The Fantastic Four: First Steps) will direct the pilot and executive produce.
Produced by Apple Studios and Imagine Entertainment, Wild Things is inspired by the Apple Original Podcast Wild Things: Siegfried & Roy. Law and Garfield will also serve as executive producers, alongside Hoffman and Shakman. Imagine’s Brian Grazer, Kristen Zolner, and Natalie Berkus will executive produce, as will Tony Leondis, Kathy Ciric, and Will Malnati—the podcast’s creator. Steven Leckart, who wrote, narrated, and executive produced the podcast, joins the series as an executive producer as well.
The podcast, which premiered in 2022, was the first deep dive into the lives of Siegfried & Roy—two of the most famous, misunderstood, and controversial magicians in history. Through its eight episodes, it peels back the curtain on their carefully crafted personas, exploring their cultural impact and the shocking event that brought their legacy into question. The full series is available now on Apple Podcasts.
