From legendary director Ridley Scott, Gladiator II continues the epic saga of power, intrigue, and vengeance set in Ancient Rome.
Years after witnessing the death of the revered hero Maximus at the hands of his uncle, Lucius (Paul Mescal) is forced to enter the Colosseum after his home is conquered by the tyrannical Emperors who now lead Rome with an iron fist. With rage in his heart and the future of the Empire at stake, Lucius must look to his past to find strength and honor to return the glory of Rome to its people.
The film was a success at the cinema, taking $460.5 million worldwide against a $250 million budget.
Gladiator II isn’t only big film coming to Sky this June. In Venom: The Last Dance, Tom Hardy returns as Venom, one of Marvel's greatest and most complex characters, for the final film in the trilogy. Eddie and Venom are on the run. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie's last dance.
And, it was the film everybody was talking about. Joker: Folie à Deux finds Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) institutionalized at Arkham awaiting trial for his crimes as Joker. While struggling with his dual identity, Arthur not only stumbles upon true love, but also finds the music that's always been inside him. It’s the sequel to the 2019 hit, also starring Lady Gaga as Lee Quinzel, along with Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Zazie Beetz and Steve Coogan.
Watch or stream the films with a Sky Cinema subscription, via Sky TV or NOW.
