Dylan Llewellyn confirmed for Celebrity Race Across the World
Actor Dylan Llewellyn and his mum are the first pair of contestants confirmed for the upcoming series of Celebrity Race Across The World.
The couple were officially announced by last year's winner, Scott Mills on the Radio 2 Breakfast Show this morning. In their interview, they revealed they never once fell out during the competition, which was filmed in central America. They did however reveal the experience was "stressful" and admitted to pinching snacks from the check-point hotels to help with their hunger.
Dylan told listeners "It's like a whole whirlwind of emotions, and so many struggles and challenges. But also, I feel like you grow a lot as a person. I feel like I'm a better person after it."
"We were a great team, we helped each other a lot. We had each other's backs."
Dylan Llewellyn is a British actor best known for his breakout role as the loveable “wee English fella” James Maguire in Channel 4’s acclaimed comedy series Derry Girls. Before that, he appeared in the long-running soap Hollyoaks as Martin “Jono” Johnson, and had smaller parts in shows like Holby City and Call the Midwife.
His performance in Derry Girls brought him international recognition and made him a fan favourite thanks to his comedic timing and underdog charm. Since then, Llewellyn has expanded his career with leading roles, including Jack in the Channel 4/All4 comedy Big Boys, where he showcased a more heartfelt side as a shy, gay university student navigating friendship and identity. His growing body of work highlights his versatility as both a comedic and dramatic actor, making him one of Britain’s rising TV stars. Other celebrities rumoured for the new series include Roman Kemp and his sister, Harleymoon Kemp.
Celebrity Race Across the World will air on BBC One and iPlayer this Autumn.
